Portraiture and more
In my portraiture and still-life works, I tend to follow a variety of different styles, but I always lean towards Impressionism. Scenes and people evoke a certain feeling, and will be remembered through a particular emotional frame, such as idealism and nostalgia. My goal is to convey the depth and power of these impressions. A portrait is not simply a depiction of a person; that's what photography is for. A portrait represents a snapshot in time, an individual's personality, and an idealisation of the concept of the person and their place in the world.
