Iconography is a religious practice with a rich history. It represents a tradition of storytelling and sanctification; icons are holy objects. In my iconographic style, I strive to emulate Eastern Orthodox visual culture while incorporating elements of a more modern style. In keeping with tradition, my practice of icon-writing involves contemplating the lives of the saints I choose to depict. Each one is a unique, personal piece of art that represents hours of research and meditation.
